VISA Information and Invitation Requests

Prior to traveling to Japan for the IFAC HMS2016 in Kyoto, please review the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website to clarify your Visa requirements. The Conference Organizers recommend that if required, you apply for a visa as early as possible (at least 3 months before the visa is needed).

The IFAC HMS2016 secretariat would be pleased to provide letters of invitation to the applicants registered for the IFAC HMS2016 to assist in their visa applications for travel to Japan. In order to be issued invitation letters, the participant must complete the registration and payment for the symposium.

Please note that while the letter will be an official invitation, applicants are responsible for making the application for a visa by the person to whom the invitation letter is addressed, and directly to the appropriate Japanese Embassy. The secretariat will not apply for a visa on your behalf. For details, please contact the nearest Japanese consulate or embassy or visit the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Once your registration and payments are completed, please download and fill out a VISA Questionnaire form below for each person requesting the letters and send them to the conference secretariat at ifac-hms2016@nta.co.jp
